ZEN CENTER LOCATION

LOCATION: Currently the AGDC meets inside the First Class 2nd Hand Store- located at 170 N. Lime Ave. Sarasota, FL 34237.

The Zen center is a wonderful opportunity to come together for group practice, and the importance of this group practice cannot be overstated. Everyone, beginners and seasoned practitioners alike, benefits greatly from attending. Our time of "just-sitting", walking, eating, and working together in silence sharpens our attention and helps refreshes us, giving us strength and courage needed to continue strong and determined, moment-to-moment daily life.

No weekly sitting schedule during the summer months of June, July, and August. Reverend Thompson will answer any email inquiries during the summer as he is traveling. Rev. Thompson will resume traditional  services in the autumn. You may wish to contact Reverend Elliston, abbot of the Atlanta Soto Zen center to participate in their summer schedule. In the event someone cannot make it to the Sunday service or wishes individual instruction (Dokusan), private meditation can be arranged by calling the Zen center at 941-929-9308.

We invite and encourage everyone to come to the Zen center and take advantage of the opportunity to practice Zen meditation. Zen does not conflict in any way with any religious creed, so please do not hesitate to join.
